Sea Import Process
Entry Noting:
- Cargo discharged from ship at seaport.
- MRL receives Shipment Pre-alert from customer by mail. Invoice, Packing List, B/L, Certificate of Origin (CO) are attached with the mail. Also the Original set of documents before shipment discharged from vessel.
- MRL collects all supporting documents from customer after receiving mail. We’ve to sort out documents on the basis of LC, LCA IP/EP etc.
- MRL to submit manual Bill of entry to the customs. Then we receive computerized Bill of entry from customs where all information’s are given.
Examination:
It is mandatory for all shipment to do examination in order to match goods that was declared for shipping by the customer.
Assessment:
We submit the document to customs as per HS code for approval. Customs officials approves the file if necessary information given are correct. if not, they’ll correct it and then approve and mention the duty amount. Mentioned duty is given to importer as per Assessment paper from customs.
Delivery:
After paying duty amount to customs, we have to collect DO (Delivery Order) from Shipping Line. Then we can release the shipment from the seaport shed.
